About "Her UTokyo"
Last updated: 27 January 2021
This page shares the stories of female researchers at UTokyo, collected via interviews by our team. The aim is to increase the visibility of female researchers at our university. As discussed in Research, female researchers are often far from being the majority, especially in the faculties of science and engineering, and particularly among the Japanese community. This means that female researchers' access to relatable peers may be low. It also means that some female researchers may feel isolated, whereas actually many people are facing similar experiences. "Her UTokyo" hopes to change the situation by sharing the personal stories of diverse female researchers at UTokyo.
